The company
What STIB does
STIB Translations provides live interpreting and professional translation for organisations whose work does not stop at a border: executive teams travelling for negotiations, boards meeting in two languages, legal and regulatory teams filing across jurisdictions, and delegations representing their country abroad.
The company is headquartered in São Paulo, with an office in Brasília serving government, multilateral organisations and regulatory work. Beyond Brazil, STIB fields professional interpreters and its own simultaneous interpreting equipment in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, and delivers remote simultaneous interpreting worldwide.
A note on how we describe ourselves. Every figure on this site is one we can stand behind: the year we started, the number of assignments delivered, the size of our interpreter network and the languages we cover. We do not publish satisfaction percentages, aggregate ratings, award badges or client logos we have not been authorised to use.
How we work
- Interpreters are matched by sector, not just by language. A mining audit and a clinical inspection are different vocabularies before they are different languages.
- Preparation is part of the assignment. Decks, contracts and glossaries are studied before the day, not read for the first time in the room.
- Confidentiality is contractual. Interpreters and translators work under NDA, and we sign the client's own agreement when required.
- The team that quotes is the team that delivers. You are not handed to an account layer that has never sat in the booth.
