Due diligence & M&A
Documents and live sessions working from one agreed glossary.
Due diligenceContracts, regulatory filings, financial statements, technical manuals and business documentation — translated by subject-matter linguists, reviewed by a second one, and handled under NDA.
STIB translates legal, financial, technical and general business documents between Portuguese and English and across a network covering more than 40 languages — including materials prepared for submission to regulatory bodies such as ANVISA, CVM and MAPA.
The thing that separates usable business translation from the other kind is not vocabulary, it is discipline about repetition. A defined term has to appear identically every time it appears, across every document in the set, even when a writer's instinct is to vary it. That is a process question as much as a linguistic one.
STIB provides certified and professional translation. It does not currently offer legally sworn translation (Tradução Juramentada). If your document requires that specific legal certification, tell us and we will advise on next steps — this is one of the places where saying so up front saves a rejected filing.
Accepted formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and other common business document formats. Scanned documents may require OCR processing first.
The document goes to a translator with relevant subject-matter background, not to whoever is free.
Produced against the agreed glossary, with translation memory keeping repeated passages identical.
A second linguist reviews the target text against the source — every document, regardless of size.
Returned in the working format, with the glossary retained so later revisions stay consistent.
No. STIB provides certified and professional translation. It does not currently offer legally sworn translation, which in Brazil is a public office held by a translator appointed by a state commercial registry. If your document requires that specific certification, tell us which authority is receiving it and we will advise on next steps rather than delivering something that will be refused.
A translation accompanied by a statement of accuracy from the provider, identifying the document and the languages. It is accepted for a wide range of corporate, commercial, regulatory and internal purposes — but not as a substitute for a sworn translation where one is legally required.
PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and other common business formats. Scanned documents may need OCR processing first, which is done before translation begins so that the text is genuinely editable rather than re-typed.
With a glossary built from the source material and agreed with your team before translation starts, plus translation memory so that repeated passages are rendered identically rather than freshly each time. This is what keeps a hundred-file data room internally coherent.
Yes. Every document goes through assignment to a subject-matter translator, translation against the agreed terminology, and independent review by a second linguist, regardless of the document's size.
Under an NDA signed before any file is shared, with named linguists assigned to the project. STIB signs the client's own confidentiality agreement when required, and files are shared only with the people working on the assignment.
Yes. STIB translates materials prepared for submission to Brazilian regulatory bodies, working from the terminology those frameworks use. Whether a given submission also requires a particular form of certification depends on the body and the document, and we will tell you before starting.
